My name is Kelty Forman! I am the owner and head trainer of Scentsible K9. I started this business because I have a deep passion for expanding a dog's potential and helping to create strong bonds between them and their owners.
My journey began after working countless hours in doggy day cares, groom shops and vet offices. I discovered a love for canine psychology while working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Boise State University. After receiving my degree, I volunteered with the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation in Santa Paula, California. During this, I also started a successful side business dog sitting and dog walking.
Not long after, I took on an internship at Fowler K9 Academy, previously known as Blue Line K9 before I transitioned to a full-time trainer role at Tip Top K9 in Idaho. I then went on to complete a Police K9 handler course and earned a certification as a Narcotics Detection team with my yellow lab, Barley, through the High Desert Police K9 Association. Additionally, I completed the Behavior Shaping E-Collar/Laser course through Paraclete K9 as well as seminars through both The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers and Method K9. In 2024, I certified as a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator under the American Kennel Club (AKC). I am currently undergoing my instructor certification under the National Association of Canine Scent Work and K9 Nose Work. These experiences and certifications are continuing to provide me with a unique approach to dog training that I bring to every session.
