Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Scentsible K9 different from other dog trainers?

We are behavior-first. That means we focus on what is driving the behavior at the root, not just fixing symptoms. When dogs feel safer and more regulated, behavior improves faster and holds up in real life. Learn more here: About Scentsible K9.

What is behavior-first dog training?

Behavior-first training prioritizes emotional regulation and clarity first, then builds skills and obedience from that foundation. When a dog is overwhelmed or overstimulated, learning and impulse control shut down. This approach helps the dog feel calm enough to listen and learn consistently.

Does training change my dog’s personality?

No. Our goal is not to suppress who your dog is. It is to help them feel safe and regulated enough to express their personality in a healthier way. Most dogs become more confident and relaxed once stress and confusion are reduced.

How do I get started?

If you want clarity first, start with our Dog Behavior Quiz. If you want hands-on help, book an in person consultation.

I want to speak to someone. Do you offer a 15 minute intro call?

Yes. Book a 15 minute intro call here: 15 minute intro call.

My dog is reactive. Can you help?

Yes. Reactivity is one of the most common issues we work with. Most reactive behavior comes from overwhelm or feeling unsafe, not disobedience. Learn more here: Reactive dog training.
